Breast MRI Scan

I am due to have a  breast MRI scan soon. Can anyone tell me what to expect, how long it takes etc?

Thanks

bi pinky,
Presumably you are having contrast dye as well, as this helps to visualise whats going on in the breast.
A nurse/radiographer will see you first to go through things & put a cannula in your arm for the dye injection.
You will lay face down on the scanner & the team will make sure you are comfortable, you will be given a buzzer for help if needed. I cant remember exactly how long mine was, but the scan was no longer than 40 minutes altogether. It is noisy, but you will be given headphones with a choice of music.
I found the whole experience interesting if a bit surreal.
