Breast pain & bone scan Just had my first annual check up - the mammogram results were ok, but because Ive been getting alot of bilateral breast pain recently, Im being sent for a bone scan in the next couple of weeks.
Has anyone had a bone scan for breast pain? Can the breast pain be due to something minor??

Breast pain… Hi Kathryn

I have had breast pain in my other breast. It started after I had had my ovaries out and I was told it could be due to all the hormone changes.
I suppose that the oncologist (who I always find er on the side of caution) is only doing his/her job.) I had a bone scan just prior to having my mastectomy I suppose it gives them a clearer picture of whats going on.

Breast pain I am suffering lots of breast pain too. Have done for the last two years. But since all this it seems to be getting worse. It even goes into my armpits. what does bilateral breast pain mean?

Thanks both for your replies.
Debbie - yes I managed to save lots of money during my dark chemo months & so far have been abroad 4 times since April, and am away again next week - but UK this time. Have booked a skiing week for next Feb ( fingers crossed )
Sonya - bilateral just means on both sides - sorry, should have written in plain English :slight_smile:
