What does the advice that says get a breast pillow for side sleeping after the 12 week recovery period mean? I had a single mastectomy and implant reconstruction. Is it the heart shaped ones?
I’m interested in this so will be following. I am only 3 weeks post op. I got a heart shaped pillow, but up to now haven’t used it as it has just been a nuisance. Maybe it will come into its own when side sleeping is allowed again. Oh gosh I miss side sleeping!
I did invest in one of those V shaped pillows prior to my op and it has been wonderful for use on the sofa and for supporting me while sleeping on my back. I can imagine this might also be something I will use to help with side sleeping. Even if I don’t, I’m glad I invested in it as it has been brilliant.

I got a v shaped pillow as well to help with sleeping propped up on my back. Im at week 7 and my surgeon advised me to wait til week 12 to side sleep. I can’t wait!

Yes mine is going well, I seem not to be having any major issues. I get my results tomorrow so I am nervous about that.
