Breast swelling followed by lump and sore armpit
Breast swelling followed by lump and sore armpit Hi everyone
Need a bit of help from you guys. I’m in my 30’s and noticed a painful breast swelling over the past 8 weeks, like a thickening of tissue. Its non cyclical and only affects the right breast. After going to the doctor he agreed that there was an area of 4-5cm that he wasn’t comfortable with and has decided to send me for an ultrasound. I’m still waiting for my appointment.
However in the meantime whilst the pain and swelling has gone down slightly, i’ve been doing a bit of examination (I own up to not checking myself regularly in the past) and noticed that there is quite a hard lump underneath closer to my chest wall. My arm pit has also become quite sore on that side and if I press my finger into it its really quite tender.
Do you guys think I should be overly concerned?? I’ve been quite tearful the past few days…
Dont know if you have read my post
i know how you are feeling as i am going thru the same kind of thing at the mo.
I am waiting for my results of a mammogram and ultrasound.
How long have you been waiting for your appointment, mine was 3 weeks which seemed like a lifetime.
I hope all goes well for you

Hi, I definitely will give you a call.
Concern Hi Sarsar
Poor you!
How long have you been waiting for an appointment? You could always call your GP and see if one has been made for you. (Sort of jiggy things along a bit if nec.)
The hardest part is waiting - your mind just runs riot! I’d hate to play doctor and say if what you’ve found is suspicious or not, but once you get your appointment there are all kinds of tests they can perform to make sure they get the full picture. Until then I recommend that you don’t keep checking yourself, keep busy, and remember that you have a great support system on this forum. Call the helpline. It’s sounds as if you could do with someone to talk to.
All the best, and keep us posted.

please get it checked out Hi sarsar
You don’t mention if you have been to the doctors regarding this if you havnt then you really need to go, you should be refferred to the hospital within 4 weeks max I believe…I am not saying you have breast cancer but my breast cancer started with a pain under my arm not a usual symptom apparently and I was fobbed off with it was a cyst…It turned out to be a grade 3 aggressive bc…its better to be safe than sorry then at least your mind will be a rest to some extent…please please get it checked out if you havnt
