I had a lumpectomy six weeks ago to an area above my nipple. It healed well, but left me with a dented breast. I have just had to have the lumpectomy redone to take more tissue and my surgeon has said it will leave me with a bigger dent. He said this could possibly be infilled with fat at a later date once I am fully healed. Has anyone out there had this done? Any info about the procedure and its results would be gratefully received. Thanks. F

Hi,
I came on looking for someone to talk to about this, and saw your question.
I am just recovering from my second stage lipo fill to my breast. 3 surgeries left me with a sizeable chunk missing.
I’ll try and answer any questions you have.

Hi I had fat transfer / lipofill to a my “sharks bite” dent above my implant. I had this in Sept 2014 6 months post mx and immediate recon. The fat was taken from my thighs as I did not have enough stomach fat - though I have since read that the stomach is the preferred donor site. The fat that was transferred took well and has mostly survived. One of my thighs is still partially numb - like dentist injection, also some pain - burning type on and off. The worse thing for me is that no one mentioned that when they take the fat from the thighs that they leave a hollow area and dents - in my head it would be like liposuction and the results would be slimmer thighs! If only!! Maybe I was just unlucky but I know that I would not have this procedure again.
