Brides against breast cancer

Can anybody please tell me if there is an organsation like the one in America where you give them your wedding dress and they sell or give the dress to someone getting married living with BC.I believe in America its called Brides against Breast Cancer.

Hi, i don’t know of any that do that in this country, how about advertising at your local macmillian center or other breast center? i think thats a nice idea

There is a local cancer charity in Norfolk called the Big C. They had a campaign last year i think asking for wedding dresses to be donated. I think they had some sort of event but they are now have a bridal department on the top floor of their charity shop in Norwich.

It would be great if it helped someone else, i have 2 beautiful brand new dresses (never worn, because i kept buying new ones) couldnt make my mind up lol, if you know of anyone that is suffering from or has suffered from BC that is getting married id love them to have one.
Tried and tried to find a charity like the one i mentioned but not a thing in this country which is a shame. Maybe we should start it ourselves lol.

i just had a little idea Allison, have you thought of auctioning them at your local pub or club and donating the proceeds to a charity of your choice? if you can get that organised i’m sure you would get a good response

Hi Allison,
What size are your dresses??? I have been bitching for England because I’m getting married in June and can’t find anything that is high enough. (see "You can always wear it with a jacket"on living with cancer) I they fit, I’d be delighted to buy one from you, and them do the same on this site. I’m a tall size 12, and the wrong side of 50!

Wow Sue Congrats to you, i have 2 dresses 1 Champagne and the other Ivory fish tail lace up back, both dresses are a 12 and they are gorgeous. Sorry taken soooo long to get back to you. Length wise 1 is about 4 inches tooo long for me the other is fine im 5,4 and had a kitten heel on.

I would love you to have a dress but i dont want any money from you for it as i would be really pleased knowing that someone else with BC is wearing it. Both the dresses are brand new never been worn. I dont know of a way where i can send you a pic do you???
