BROC - has anyone tried this supplement?

Hi there,

I had primary breast cancer in 2002 at the age of 37, followed by WLE lumpectomy, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, 2 years of Zoledex and 5 years of Tamoxifen. Despite a clear mammogram in October 2024, I was diagnosed with metastatic secondary breast cancer (right lung and L3 in spine) in June 2025 (cough symptoms started in July 2024, although I didn’t realise at the time what was causing it:frowning:). So after 23+ years, my lifetime treatment is now 400mg Ribociclib, 2.5mg Letrozole, 50mg Ibandronic Acid and Adcal-D3. I am now on cycle 10. I have had very minor side effects, with the only major one (to me) of hair thinning :frowning:. To help with this and general well being, as I am quite tired each day, I have been researching natural products.

My question to others is, has anyone tried BROC supplement produced by Nivora? If so, has it benefited you and where do you purchase it from?

@disney sorry to hear that your bc returned. I’m on my second primary bc on the opposite side after having triple negative in 2010 aged 36.

I have started taking BROC supplements. I only started them around a week ago so yet to see if they are beneficial. :pink_heart:

Thank you for replying. I will be very interested to see how you get on with them in the weeks and months to come. Did you buy these from Nivora?

I grow my own broccoli sprouts and eat them daily. They are so simple to grow and taste lovely. I get calabrese brocolli seeds from SkySpouts. If I am going on holiday I do take a brooccoli supplement from Time Health.

That is really useful information - thank you. I received the Sulforaphane tablets this week and started taking them 2 days ago. So here goes……
Has it made any difference to your cancer tumours at all? If not, have you received any benefits from eating the broccoli sprouts?

I see a private integrative doctor who recommended the broccoli sprouts as they are an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. My CRP was high when I was first diagnosed but now is low. I had a recurrence in my mastectomy breast back in 2021 but that is not able to be seen on the scans and my bone mets have been reported as ‘stable’ since 2022 .

I have no idea what part the broccoli sprouts have played in my well being but I am active and go on long walks each day so just keep doing what I have been doing!

My private doctor recommended cruciferous veg everyday which is easy on a plant based diet. I rarely eat refined sugar, take Melatonin each night and weight train.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. It is brilliant that you are getting good results from the actions you are taking and may it continue. You are certainly a great example to follow and I do hope the broccoli sprouts have played a part in that, now that I am taking them:folded_hands:. Not heard about melatonin, this is new to me. I will find out more information about it.

My failings are not doing enough exercise or weight training…….definitely need to work on this. I have been dairy free since 2002 and like and eat most cruciferous vegetables, so I am praying I am making a difference. Following some of the advice I have read by Chris Wark in USA who beat cancer, I am also drinking green tea and cranberry juice each day. Small steps for me, but hope it all makes a difference.

I also have Mistletoe injections which supports my immune system. The Yes to Life charity is brilliant for complementary support. The Oncio App has lots of useful information in it.
