“expect some bruising”-- my boob is totally purple, brighter than the blue bit i can see from the die near the nipple. goes right round my back. Spectacular!! shame I am a modest --i would like to take pictures and have it as an avatar
am i the only one that bruised, or in the given grander scheme of things did people not think its worth mentioning. and they did not take my nodes, it would have been worse then
good morning old lumpy andnow bruised ! i had wle and snb 2 weeks ago tomorrow , yes its so normal to have a battered breast , mine is still slightly bruised after this time but healed lovely , the scar under my arm is not so good to look at , really jagged , bio oil time i think ! still uneven scars is a small price to pay for life without breast cancer xxxxx
After both my WLE last year bruising resembled a Pizza topping; & reminded me of a very tasteful wallpaper my dear old gran had in the front room when she was alive!
Hopefully you are not in too much discomfort; my first WLE settled really quickly & back at work a week later. Second took a little longer as I swelled up a bit; had 2 weeks off.
I used “crop tops” to sleep in as they were quite supportive without being too tight. They came in useful later as well when I had to have some radiotherapy.
hi OAL, yep, its totally normal and pretty impressive! my 5 yr old lad was spellbound when he asked to see poorly boob!“whoa! that must of hurt. did you fall over in the playground? did u cry?” he said! bless em! alex xxxx
That’s all part of the ploy to turn us into Smurfs! My boob’s been all colours of the rainbow, but it did calm down, and from Janyary 10th I still have a slight blue tinge around the nipple but nothing really noticeable. My scars are really impressively good, I’m delighted with my surgeon’s handiwork even though she had to go in a second time.
Mummysboob, what a hoot from your little one, a lovely bit of genuine sympathy there, how cute!
i cannot see any blue nipple because the rest is just one solid purple/black mass. Its going round my back and across the front to the other breast–wonder if it will meet in the middle like shingles.
Mind you the bump on my head is equally impressive. 12 hours after the op i went to the loo and fainted on the bathroom floor and now have a right shiner.
I’ve always found arnica cream (homeopathic remedy) really good for bruises.
Nearly three years ago I had a riding accident that resulted in a large horse trampling across my chest and my left boob ended up looking like a very big blackberry - arnica def helped then.
Don’t know if that trauma has had anything to do with my subsequent dx in that boob…
