Hello
I’m Sam and I’m from the Policy and Campaigns team and wanted to get in touch with you about a new opportunity to help us to drive up improvements in care and support for people affected by breast cancer. We want to create an engaged community of individuals that are interested in getting involved with our campaigns.
This week we’re going to be having a discussion here on the Forum to find out from you about how we can support people to get involved in breast cancer or health related campaigning (activities like signing petitions to meeting with your local MP). We are really interested to hear your views about what would help people to get involved and what some of the barriers might be, as well as discussing what sort of activities you’d be interested in getting involved with. It will be an informal chat and you don’t need any previous experience of campaigning to join.
The discussion will take place on a closed area of the Forum, if you’d like to join the discussion please comment here so we can add you to the group or email campaigns@breastcancercare.org.uk to express your interest.
We’ll open the group next Wednesday (30th September) and leave it open until lunchtime on Monday 5th October, but you can dip in and out of the discussions. During that time, I’ll be popping in to ask questions and respond to your comments (during office hours).
We’ll use the feedback from the discussion to shape the future of our campaigning activity, and we’ll make sure everyone that takes part receives information about our plans by the end of this year.
Please comment here if you’d like to be added to the group.
Many thanks,
Sam
Policy and Campaigns team
