well, technically Christy, any breast change can be a symptom of bc, but it is the LEAST likely reason to be cause of your symptoms & its highly unlikely a breast abcess is anything other than an infection, especially as you’ve just stopped breastfeeding.
Has your dr referred you to the breast clinic to get it checked out? It is normal to be referred to the clinic to get it properly checked out.
Easier said than done, but try not to worry & do come back if you need to talk further.
