Can anyone else feel anything from their picc line? I had mine flushed today and it feels very achey around my neck, although I’m not sure if it’s caused by the line or the funny position I had to hold while they got it in ![]()

Hi Em I would say call the number as when my PICC was put in they told me that if it blocked you would feel it up in your neck. Of course if it’s been flushed hopefully it is not blocked, but the pros will set you straight quickly don’t worry about bothering them, that’s what they’re there for ? all the best x
Thanks guys.
I rang the number I have and they told me to call an ambulance which seems like overkill to me, especially since we keep hearing about how stretched services are at the moment. So I rang my gp and they won’t see me and told me to go to a&e.
At the moment I feel like I don’t think I can do this ![]()

Be brave, you got thru the worst bit of having it put in just a quick check now to put your mind at ease and make sure everything is ok. Make your way in as they suggested, you can do it, and you will feel a lot better once you’ve been seen and reassured. Good luck, keep us posted, support is here for you X
