Caring for your scalp-Advice? Products?

I havent shaved it off yet, but has anyone been given anything specific to use? i dont have a headstrong service near me but they give advice on caring for your scalp during treatment. I did buy a gentle organic shampoo and was going to use that next year when this is over and i have some new hair.
thanks everyone

I did have a headstong service near me and I did go for an appointment. I was only shown how to tie scarves and wear hats with attached bits of hair. Nothing about how to care for my scalp at all. The chemo nurses advised me to used natural unscented shower gel and to use that on my head. However, my scalp did go very dry, a bit like “cradle cap”. I did some research and I discovered Emu oil! I bought a bottle of this off ebay - and massaged it into my hair morning and night. I had the softest shiniest bonce and all my hair grew back very evenly - no thin patches.

Hi there. I have to say i havent used anything on my head except a nivea moisteriser that has some almond oil in it occasionally. Whenever i have a bath i either use what ever bubble bath i have at home and occasionally i’ve used a tiny spot of my normal Pantene shampoo to rub on my scalp. I dont have any dry skin or cradle cap and my hair is starting to grow back now so i dont think its all that important to go out and buy specific or expensive creams and lotions but its up to you. I had my last chemo 11 days ago. Good luck with your treatment and i hope you dont find the hair loos too traumatic.

I used a product from Waitrose called Baby Butter to rub into my scalp - left it lovely and smooth. My hair is growing back now - thick and curly and very grey!!!

Thanks everyone, i can feel little bumps so hope i dont have dandruff or white patches, am not bothered by baldy head, still have a bit of covering everywhere, am using a bit of calendula oil at night, but i did read about emu oil too.
