Chemical free household products

Hello :waving_hand:

Has anyone found or use good air freshening products that don’tcontain potentially harmful products?- sprays, plug ins, candles etc? In the UK? Thanks as always for the fantastic support and advice

Hi @ kswar, there are quite a few ideas online youtube etc about diluted essential oils in a spray bottle, boiling up citrus peel and herbs which will be simple to create and be much safer. Keeping windows open when weather permits is a good idea. For cleaning I generally use various combinations of vinegar, bicarb of soda, and washing up liquid in water. Let us know what you decide on. Love Tulip x

Hello, I recently bought a plug in wax melt to use with natural wax melts. It was an Amazon purchase so a bit of a risk but it works great so far. I’ll add a photo of them

For cleaning products ive been using Method. They are fairly expensive though but you dont need to use too much at a time

Hi @kswar

Airwick do a liquid spray that is phalate free. We use in loo. Boyes sell it.

Cleaning you could try Purdy & Figg

Or your local health shop. Ours sells all sorts

Ah thanks! I presume essential oils would work diluted in a burner? I currently have plug ins, which arent great and have bad additives!

Im trying to do everything I can to eliminate everything toxic and unhealthy!

Thanks! Ill venture in to my local health shop and have a look

I like the look and sound of these! Thanks

How are you by the way? How’s treatment going?

All good here thank you. I’m half way now  they dont lie when they say it comes around quickly. Though it doesnt feel it at the time. How are you?

I bet it doesnt! Im sire it feels good to be able to say half way through though!

Im currently still waiting on oncotype results and still weighing up my options re node clearance.

Im finding it difficult to deal with the fact that there maybe positive nodes still there! And making a decision based on this thought is hard!

Telling me that radiotherapy will target anything left and lots on side effects of node clearance, fills me with doom!

I know that if the test comes back high, its likely I’ll go down the chemo route and maybe that, radiotherapy and endocrine treatment will be enough. But if not, I will still have this decision to make

Sorry for the rambling!!

Ramble away my friend that’s exactly what this space is for. Im sorry you are still facing all the unknown. Its easy to write the narrative in our heads about what’s next, what should happen, what will happen and it drives us mad. But your only job is to get yourself as strong and healthy as possible and trust them to figure out exactly the right treatment for you. Everyone’s cancer is unique to them and so treatment will be just that. Whatever they decide is best, you will feel a sense of relief I’m certain of that

Hey!

Thought I’d share my changes of products .

I’ve moved to Made by Nature shampoos and conditioners and bodywash, organic makeup and skincare by Tropic which is glorious, sometimes use their haircare too, all cleaning products by Bower Collective (washing up liquid, bathroom cleaner, clothes liquid and conditioner). No longer use perfumes, plug-ins and instead have a dehumidifier with real essential oils.

We can only eliminate so many toxins, but at least we’re making the effort :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: xx

Thankyou!

I use tropic too, I love their products! Funnily enough, Ive been using them for years!

Can you share info on the dehumidifier that you use please?

Thanks again for your insight! :pink_heart:

My skin has gotten soo good using it, as I struggled with bad acne during my treatment.

And I meant Diffuser :woman_facepalming:t3: not dehumidifier. But I have my eyes on the Shark version  x
