Moijan???
How is your horse doing? This is a donkey grinning duh oh and he needs a shavexx
Hi ladies,
My name is Lori and I’ve just joined the group. I was wondering if there is anyone who lost their hair, eyebrows and eyelashes from other chemo then, once they started Eribulin, everything started growing back. I will start my third cycle on Tuesday and I have so much fuzz on my head and it seems to just keep growing. What is even MORE exciting is finding my eyelashes are starting to grow back!! I think I’ve missed my eyelashes and eyebrows more than my hair (and, if I do say so myself, I had great hair!).
Any insight would be greatly appreciated!!
Hope everyone is hanging in there!!
Thanks so much!
Lori
Hiya Lori
Moijan who is the queen of this chemo has been on it for 11 months with very good results.
She hasent got access to WiFi to reply and asked me to post for her …she said she lost all her hair but it grew back after 4/5 months.
As soon as she gets beamed up again …she will reply with some good advice no doubt .
There is a lot of info here further back on this thread which might help.

Thank you Carolyn, buddy, very kind.xx
Lori…welcome, what more can I offer, I guess we are all different…Losing my haiir seemed my worst fear as had lost it twice before, but had grown to enjoy having it back again. As Carolyn said, I lost it ( quite fast) on Eribuln, not all, but a bit friar tuckish and then that stopped and later maybe 4/5 months ago it started returning, but its still very fluffy and sparse and I cover it with hairpieces, wigs and scarves.
You got me thinking…l.my eyebrows are not really back…just downy sparse again and no eyelashes at all.
have been on Erib since last June. I wash it very rarely, dont rub or heat dry it.-see how you go xx
Moijan???
Hi again, Lori
I am ok thank you. Have been a little tied up…two hospital visits today…all together, I attend 4 different OPDs which is a lot!
have blod test again tomoro and week 2 day 8 on Thursday.
yes…I too hope you have a good run on Eribulin…my last mri has a bit of a query on it…so will know more after my next one. But ive been on it for almost a year.
Thank you everyone. Chemo tomorrow yippee ( not) ?
Moijsnx
Am pm img you withasmilex
Hi Kay,
i too retired on ill health grounds from the NHS…not saying how many years.,…need some secrets! But im really astounded to find out just how many of us ex nhs ladies there are…and I guess we may have some things in common which might had made us more prone to the bc!
anyway, I went back after retiing on health grounds! But they were then doing twice as much in half the time an puttinfg data on in their own time…due to pressure…shows how dedicated we all were/are…- and I decided it wasnt for me…ethically - couldn’t spend the time I felt was req to do the job properly.
ho hum.
best wishes to everyone
Moijan
Hi everyone! I am in my fourth cycle of Eribulin. Tolerating it really well although my hair has badly thinned on the top of my head. The hair loss thing really gets me down. my hair loss is not sufficient to wear a wig and it would be v hot and uncomfortable. I went to a hair loss specialist and I am getting a hair topper which clips on to my head like the clips you get on hair extensions you can buy in shops. It’s lighter than a wig and looks fantastic. I am going to get back my long blonde hair and I can hardly wait - getting it soon! I have also had my eyebrows tattooed when I had a break from chemists it’s the best thing I did! My brows are better than my original Ines were! Got to have some benefits from cancer!
Meant to say “break from chemo”
Hi Nicky, I too think the hairband idea is a good one.
i havent got en_gh of my own hait just now, a bit like a downy chck, however, I think I mentioned Heathers Hair before…i have a nice hairpeice on a headband and wear it under an elasticatd_ headscarf…it looks realish and is so much cooler than one of my wigs.
heathers hair are brilliant and charge just £5 for postage.Moijanx
Helen, I have no idea till ext week.

Hi Lulu,
yes, good. Luck with Eribuln, you have had a good run of bc free years havent you? Such a shock for youxx
i had taxotere in 2001 and I credit that with giving me much more time. I have found Eribulin a very easy going experience and do read back over the posts( if you have the time and patience) as there are suggesteions /solutions for most side effects that might come up…however, you may not get any.
beware week three…I think everyone has found they get ratty in week three…i certainly have, but recently not so much…there is a query over how long I will remain on it now.xx
when you say ‘over the pond’ where are you from/based then?
withasmile…what an adorable puss! Do he and the horse get along?
hugs,
Moijan???
Hi Moijan
Saw on another thread that you had had some progression but are staying on eribulin for a little while longer- hope you’re ok and it helps to get rid of the little blighters. You are an inspiration to me.
Cycle 6, day 8 today for me. You take care.
Love to everyone, hope you’re managing to enjoy some sunshine. Helen x
Oh, thank you Helen,xx
yes, im afraid I havent had a moment to spare and forgot to feedback here.

Hi Pussy
was their advice as tms still low and Growth very slow…

Kay,
That’s awful for you… yes I know there’s a queue for mris as they are now considered really good for monitoring a lot of the different cancers … I’m picking up that you are worried, can you speak to your bcc and see if anything can be done?
In any case, you could ask if they’d mind you calling regularly to see if there’s any cancellation.
On the bright side, sounds as if they are confident that your bc is being controlled…
Do you have tumour markers measured?
Can’t recall quite where your mets are… mine are in the liver and bones…
Anyway, have a chat with the bcn, if you can
Let us know how things go
Xx
