Hi
I have had 3 FEC next one on Friday. The first week after the chemo I am laid low but then start to pick up in the second week. After chemo 3 I have been very tired all of the time.
Is their any tips our advice anybody has to help with the fatigue. I am normally a very busy person always on the go, so I am finding it hard to lie down to this. My husband says I will just have to listen to what my body is telling me and rest when i need it.

Hi Anne
Not sure it it helps but i have found when i eat healthy i recover a bit more and exercise a little too, even just shorts walks. Also have been getting acupuncture which seems to have helped me, my energy and mood.
I think they do build up over time and you get more tired. And it is hard not to fight it, especially when you are active.
Good luck with the rest.

Hi jayne
Thanks for your suggestions I will try some of them out. How are you doing just now.
I have just had a visit from some friends who I work with, it was good to see them. Isn’t it funny that small things that used to matter are no longer important when you have got BC. Life still goes on when you are not at work and it makes you think about the things you used to stress about.
I have another 3 chemos to go then 20 rads. The chemos are done at my local hospital, but the rads they will be done in Glasgow. this will mean a trip Mon-Fri for 4 weeks but it is only 45mins from where I stay.
Hope to speak to you soon.

Hi Anne and Van,
I am on no 5 on Wed too was just looking at the calendar and thinking i have only 4 weeks to go, can’t wait. I must admit i have not been doing much at all, just some walking and eating healthy and not a lot else. Although i do still eat rubbish too, can’t get past the chocolate biscuits.
It is funny how this puts everything in perspective Anne, i can’t believe the things i used to stress about. Makes you realise what is important in life. Am from Scotland too but living in London now. Missing home at the moment.
Sorry your feeling bad Vanessa, it will be good when we can all look back on this as a distant memory. Hope it goes well on Wed.
Lots of love
