Chemo or no chemo

Was found to have breast cancer that has metastasized to my bones

My original breast cancer was in 2011. I had a lumpectomy and radiotherapy. Had been clear for 8 years. It is now in my bones. They accidentally found it when I was having a chest CT for having stent fitted.I never saw an oncologist for more than 60 days , she put me on Letrozole and I am waiting now to see what the plan is . I have had 3 pet scans to monitor it. I also have had teeth out on preparation for zometa.  The   chemo is something like CDK4/6  .It hasn’t t been discussed with me and I see her on 17th of this month (October). I feel there is no time for a conversation and I am feeling depressed.  No one knows hos I feel as I am putting on this smiley facade but deep down I am losing it. Can anyone tell me about this  chemo. Mang thanks. Shaz1956

Hi Shaz1956,

I am so sorry to hear about this new diagnosis. This must be a difficult time for you. If you need some support or want practical advice on your treatment, you can speak to our breast care nurses. You can call free on 0808 800 6000 - Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm, Saturday 9am to 1pm.

Alternatively, you might find you get a better response if you post this message on the Chemotherapy thread, where other women going through chemo can see it.

Sending you our very best wishes,
