Hi - I have been through family history genetics and told I am at high risk. I asked about taking Anastrozole, after going through genetics family history team I have been offered the drug via my GP. My question is there anyone on the site happy to share their symptoms/experience whilst taking the drug. I do not have cancer this is a preventative measure recently approved to none cancer patients. Thank you
My sister has been on tamoxifen for about 3 years. I had BC at 36 and Mum more recently at 80. The same type of cancer. Interestingly I finally was genetically tested, and it came back with nothing. My Mum’s oncologist believes there is a genetic link, but it has not been found yet. My sister is staying on tamoxifen with annual mammograms. Best wishes.
