Hi, interested to know if anyone else has had these growths since having bc? 2.5 years since treatments and have had this growth. Have been to doctor and she said it’s all ok and nothing to worry about. Happy to go with that but it has grown, bleeds on and off, oozes on and off, everyday for about two weeks and just wondered if anyone else has had these?
think they’re known as cherry angiomas and mines prob 1cm ish now
Thanks
Hi @casey1
I’ve had a cherry angioma since having bc. Thought it was because I was body brushing and irritated the skin. I was already being seen at the skin clinic and got referred again to have this double checked. It was on my abdomen and i wanted it removing as near belly and was annoying. It didn’t bleed or anything. The skin clinic agreed to remove it and it came back benign as expected. Didn’t really think of a connection between and this and bc, although never had one of these before either.
I have also started getting blood blisters in my mouth. Been told it’s sensitive skin and to be careful when eating hot or rough things. Maybe another menopause symptom of skin becoming thinner.
It’s the unwanted gift that keeps on giving.
Hope you get sorted quickly xxx
Hi Casey
Same here but didn’t associate it with bc. I’ve read they become more common with age (51 now), so assumed it was that. I have multiple, most are small. They are scattered around, a couple on “good” breast, stomach, legs.
It could be a coincidence or perhaps it is something to do with treatment. I’ve had/having radio, Exemestane, Zoladex and Zoledronic.
It will be interesting to see how many others respond.
Ahh thank you for replying. I just wondered as mine is on lower part of breast and never had one like this ever and just wondered?
I’m wondering if it will fall off but if not I may ask for it to be removed as it’s gross:rofl: thank you ![]()
If it is on your breast, just give the BCN a ring. I am sure it will be nothing, but I’d let them rule it out if I were in your shoes. x
I’m not under them anymore tho?
Hi there
I’ve got quite a few tiny cherry angiomas, which predate my breast cancer so definitely not connected in my case. However, I have a lot of experience with skin cancer having previously had melanoma and basal cell carcinoma also, and any symptomatic skin lesions i.e. growing, changing shape or colour, bleeding, oozing, won’t heal etc. should be looked at so I’d 100% recommend going back to your GP if the symptoms haven’t cleared up or are getting worse.
All the best x
Hiya. You should be under their care for 5 years. I’d give them a ring, they’ll soon tell you if you’re not. x
