Chest plate pain

Hi
I have been experiencing some pain in my chest the last few days- it’s worse at night when I lay down. I have mentioned this to Oncology and was sent for bloods yesterday- have an appointment tomorrow.
Just wanted to know what the reason might be for this?

It’s not possible for us to say what is causing your symptoms. You say you have an appointment in the oncology clinic which would be today. When you see your treatment team it’s important to let them know exactly what pain you’ve been experiencing and when, so they can properly assess you.

Do call our helpline if you would like to talk this through or have any further questions. The helpline team have time to listen, talk things through and signpost you to more support and information if necessary. Your call will be confidential, and the number is free from UK landlines and all mobile networks. The number is 0808 800 6000, If you have hearing or speech difficulties prefix our number with 18001 and the call will go through Relay UK. Our helpline has access to telephone interpreters if language translation is required.

Our usual opening hours are Monday to Friday 9am - 4pm and 9am - 1pm on Saturday.
