Before i invest i wonder if any one has any experiences of these good or bad.
do they work… and where is best (cheapest ) place to buy them.
i wasn’t sure what heading to put this under as i have had/having various treatments so decided on current issues so hope to get replies.
many thanks
Julie
Hi Julie - I have one of these - actually bought it for OH who gets v hot in bed. He couldn’t get on with it, but I tried it our and it worked quite well. Can’t remember where I got it (some mail order company) - it was a few years ago now. But I do recall that it cost me about £20 then.

I bought mine from Amazon. I use it nearly every night, and wouldn’t be without it. I usually start off the night without it, then wake up hot at some point, put the chillow on top of my normal pillow, and it’s bliss! I take it on holiday with me too. From memory it cost either £24.95 or £29.95 - worth every penny.
I got mine direct from Chillow (google it) and it cost £24.95 + p&p.
It’s good, but it does heat up turning it into a warm pack! Takes ages to cool down again too…
I’m going to try what roadrunner does and put it on when I wake up hot - at present it’s in my pillow slip with my pillow…
Other thing is, I find it quite hard - I like my pillow full & ‘bouncy’ and it just doesn’t have that ‘give’…
Td xx ( see - I’m full of useful advice!!)
PS - never noticed current issues hot topics before!!
Waitingangel - yes, I agree it’s hard, but you get used to that over time (but that is also why I try to start the night without it). When my chillow warms up, I turn it around so my head is on a different part.
I love my chillow and currently use it for my feet, which feel hot from the effects of xeloda.

I bought one but it is too cold for me at the moment. I haven’t had any flushes yet.
I bought mine because I read on a thread about a man who was undergoing chemo and used one and didn’t lose his hair.

I had surgery for DCIS last October, and was then told I must not take any more HRT. So then the hot flushes and sleepless nights came back- and how!
I bought a chillow a few months ago, and I love it. I put it into a small pillow case, as it does feel very cold to start with. I keep it on the floor beside my bed, and grab it as soon as I start to get hot. I don’t put it on my pillow though, I lay on it on my front for a couple of minutes, then the bed’s usually cold enough by then to turn over onto my back to cool that down. And I can put the chillow out again. It’s never warmed up too much. I tdon’t think I’d feel comfortable to have it on my pillow, as it’s quite hard. But some people may be OK with that.
Hope this helps.
I want to find out more about the ‘Cobber’ as well… has anyone used one? Can you use it in the day, walking around, at work etc?
