I just moved here last November and I found the lump a week later I was seen and diagnosed all in the one week. I had a mastectomy three weeks later. I also had all my lymph nodes taken away (35) everyone was clear . I then in January started 8 sessions of chemo the worse part of that was losing my hair I didnt have to have any Rads I have now been on Arimadex for a month now.I have started to feel well now put on a bit of weight though so I have just joined scottish slimmers last monday which I think is great I am hopeing to start a new job in a couple of weeks As I am starting to get a bit bored now how about you. I hope you are feeling well at the moment You Take Care Love Linda xxx

Hi Linda

Nice to hear from you. I don’t know Fauldhouse but I’ve just looked it up and you’re right - it is not very far at all. What hospital do you go to? I had the op done in Stirling but followup will be in Falkirk. Sounds like you’ve been through a lot. Glad to hear you are improving and I wish you well with the job. I’m feeling great just now but GP warned me that I might feel the effects next week. He said that sometimes the second week after the op is the worst so I’ll be prepared for that. Look after yourself and keep in touch.

God bless.

Christay

Hi All

Just read this post and not that I live in Scotland, but my hubby is from Falkirk and his family still live there. Small world. We live in Essex now and were supposed to be going to Falkirk at the beginning of August, but that dropped of the radar, after my dx with bc and then secondary to liver. So started chemo on 8 Aug and had second just over week ago.

Wish you both well with your treatment.

Take care

Hi Dawn just read your thread on here We are only 20 minutes from Falkirk your hubby will know where we are its a little village called Fauldhouse. If you ever get here please look me up as I would love to meet you. I have read all your threads and what a brave lady you are gosh you never fail to amaze me. You are so kind to all the people on here I dont know what some of the people on here would do without you. You should be ST DAWN I am so sorry about what is happening to you especially with your 2 small children your hubby sounds a great chap as wellI will keep in touch with you Lots Of Love Linda xxxxxx

Hi Linda

Thanks for message, but I am not that brave honestly, I have been a mess this week, and not posted that much, as been a bit down. But I think I get so much back from people on here, and to support others makes my fight easier for some reason, I forget my troubles and listen to others, and then it seems to help me. Don’t get me wrong, I get my really bad days and wonder why me, and why did it have to spread and how am I ever gonna get through it all, but then I look at Jack and Sophie and know that I must do whatever it takes to stay here for as long as I can, as I really want to see them grow up.

We are all going through so much c**p, and talking to you and everyone else seems to make it slightly easier, as no matter what friends and family say, they don’t understand properly how I feel or how emotional it gets, but everyone on here does.

Will let you know when we are going to Falkirk next, my hubby’s mum (all her family) and his sister and her family all leave there, so will prob go when I am up for it, as they have not seen little Jack since he was 3 months old now.

Anyway, you take care and let me know how you are too.

Take care
Love
Dawn
