hello

Glad you are now back home, what a rotten time to be admitted to hospital. I had exactly the same as you after my first EC, was doing ok, then got a sore throat and bad runs, ignored it thinking it was just a normal cold, went to bed, woke up with a temp of 38.8 and was taken into hospital by ambulance. Had five days of IV antibiotics. I was also then due my second EC a week later, all they did was delay it by 3 days to make doubly sure my blood count was ok, then i had my EC reduced by 20% adn was sent home with neulasta injections to keep the blood count up. It worked because this time around i’ve been much better and tomorrow i’m going in for my third EC - half way there!! good luck to you, hope it goes better from now on, Carrie x

Hello

So sorry to hear about your stay in hospital, but glad to hear that you are on the mend.

I recently was in hospital for 10 days with a chest infection and like you would tell everyone not to ignore a high temp reading.

Best wishes Alison x
