I started with a 50p blob of clear to slightly white discharge on 11th Jan. It happened 4 more times before 26th Jan, but smaller (tear drop amounts) although some were blood streaked. All the discharge has been spontaneous and noticed mainly either by a wetness feeling or marks on a cotton pad I’ve been wearing in my bra to keep track.
I saw a consultant on 26th Jan who did a breast exam and ultrasound, both of which were unremarkable. She arranged to see me at the start of March but said to get in contact if the discharge increased.
I got in touch on the 2nd Feb as I’d had discharge morning and evening from the 29th and then 7ish times between 1st and 2nd Feb. I now have an appointment on 12th Feb.
Ive seen the discharge actually on the nipple 3 times now and it’s always been at the same place (1 o’clock)
I am 34 and both mother and sister has DCIS in their 30s.
I’m now getting discharge 2 to 4 times a day, it’s generally clear although occasionally pink specked.
I think they might do a mammogram on the 12th. I’m worried they will find calcifications.
The consultant did say even if imaging remained normal she would likely want to “remove a cluster of cells from behind the nipple”
I’m worried it’s going to turn out to be DCIS or something more which the ultrasound missed.
