Clinic Appointment

Hi there

This is my first post on here, just had my clinic appointment on Monday and am feeling quite anxious about it. I found a large lump in my right breast about 3 weeks ago and went straight to the GP who referred me to the breast clinic and I was seen exactly 2 weeks later. My consultant felt the lump and said he was going to get a mammogram and ultrasound done. I’m only 32 I was a bit shocked that I was getting a mammogram since I’ve read at my age that’s quite uncommon. Got all my tests that day and got 3 core biopsies from the lump and a couple from the nodes under my arms… No clue was given as to what they may think but got a bit worried when they asked me if I had someone with me…
Went back to waiting room and was called back into the room and my consultant was in there with a specialist breast nurse and the clinic nurse, the BCN told me I should take the next day off work and none of them gave any indication there was anything bad but there was no indication that it was anything good either… I was then taken into a quiet room by the BCN and she took my number and gave me her card and said she was going to keep checking for my results and phone me if they were available before the appointment they have given me for my results next Wednesday! I’m so nervous! Does everyone get taken aside by the specialist breast nurse when u don’t have any results yet? I’m fearing the worst to be honest, got a bad feeling
Any thoughts would be appreciated

I’m sorry this is such a worrying time for you. I think all clinics work differently so I would try not to worry to much. Though, I know that’s easier said than done! However, I think that the BCN checking to see if your results are back early is her trying to be helpful. I know from my own experience that it is very easy to read things into what people say! So try to take one day at a time.
