Can anyone help me please? Over the past 5 years I have been on Tamoxofen, Arimidex and finally Aromasin. My Oncologist has now told me to stop Aromasin (4 weeks ago). My kness are so painfull (not much pain there before)a and my feet are stilll killing me. Will the pain subside and how long will this take?

Not sure why they’ve swapped your homones - some oncs like to keep the C on its toes so cahnge things around a bit - or are you secondary and the first 2 failed you?
I started on Arimidex after my dx, and stayed on that til secs arrived when went to Aromasin. Its generally well tolerated I’m told but it crucified me - I stuck it for 3 months but really struggled - bad joint pain lead to morphine cos its bone mets I have which were also playing up, no appetite, no energy, awake only 5 hours a day and miserable as sin cos I felt so ill. Off aromasin onto tamox - which I knew I could tolerate having done 5 year IBIS trial of it in 2000/5 - but when that failed, onc didn’t want to put me on Letrozole cos said if can’t tolerate Aromasin won’t be able to do so with Letrozole. I have queried this with BCC nurses and got response they’d not heard this so ask again, but as I’m doing OK on capecitabine chemo I’ll stay put til that stops working then ask about Letrozole again and also Fasolodex, which NICE have recently No No ed for secs but not sure about primaries.
Hope this helps a bit
Nina
