Compression sleeve with Hand/finger glove

After having wore a compression glove since August, Iam gutted today to discover the swelling is now in my arm. As a result I have to wear the arm sleeve plus hand glove with the fingers. Does anyone know where I could purchase a nice coloured/patterned one in the UK. Seems to be a problem finding gauntlets with fingers, but as I have swelling in my fingers I need the whole thing.
I couldn’t believe how emotional I got when I found out today and just feel is there anything cancer can throw at me when I just want to forget.
Hopefully some of you lovely ladies on here that are living with lymphodema can shed some light as all I can think of at the moment is having to wear these for the rest of my life and how it will affect me.

Hi Amber D there are a few uk sites that sell sleeves but they are a bit expensive especially as lympho sleeves only have about six months life. pebbleuk.com/shop/categories.asp?cid=17.

I can understand you feeling emotional. I was half way through rads when I got lymphoedema and when I went for my fitting I sat in the chair and cried. It felt like a permanent reminder of BC the gift that just keeps on giving.

I have had lymphoedema for 7 years and had to wear the gauntlet and sleeve at first then after six months my hand went back to normal and I just had to wear the sleeve. My arm went up and down for a couple of years then I lost a bit of weight, not much, about a stone. I carried on with the exercises and my arm improved and now I only wear my sleeve when doing house work or if it starts to ache. So don’t give up hope it can improve.

Another member started a thread  few years ago about lymphoedma training heres a link, it might be of some help xx

They are hugely expensive. You should be able to get them free from lymphodema clinic and on prescription.

I keep latex gloves by sinks and wash basins in the house to wear over the top when hand washing or doing dirty jobs to help keep the gauntlet clean and dry.
