Hey all -
I posted the other week, and today I had my diagnostic imaging done. Nothing at all on mammo, but that’s because my Bi-RADS is a 4 - not entirely helpful.
Ultrasound was good. Found two back-to-back cysts that I honestly had not noticed… and they did see the spot I had been concerned about that’s up against my chest wall. After I waited in the room for about 45 minutes for the doctor to read the results, doc immediately came in and went over the basic results of mammo and cysts. And then the concern spot - which is showing as a hypoechoic mass with indistinct margins. After talking with the doc, I did ask the u/s tech to see the images - the shape had strange sharp edges, looked almost like the outline of an obscure state, and had little bright spots flecked throughout.
I’m scheduled for biopsy on my 41st birthday this month, but it’s not looking particularly sunny. While it could be a complex cyst, it had no smooth or rounded edges anywhere.
Has anyone else had a similar experience? I’m up for a two week wait before this appointment - I’m attaching a shot from the ultrasound of the area in question.
