My Nan is going in to hospital on tuesday for a mastectomy including her lymph glands. She has been given a fact sheet thats explains what type of nightwear to take in to hospital with her, but it has really confused her. Apparently it says she should not wear anything that goes under her arm or over her shoulder!!!
Can anyone help to explain what they mean or have any advise on what to buy her??

I was told to wear something that fastens down the front as it maybe uncomfortable trying to lift your arm to take off a T shirt type top when they need to check your ‘wounds’ .
I bought a short sleeved front button jama top which was fine, but also wore vest tops.
Thanks ladies, I have been to bon marche and found some nice pj’s and nighties.
