Hi dotmac

Welcome to our forums, I am sure you will find them a great help and get lots of support and information here. I’m posting to let you know of a few things you might find useful, below is a link to a booklet for people who are just diagnosed and contains information about diagnosis and treatments:

breastcancercare.org.uk/docs/bcu06_web_0.pdf

We also have a confidential helpline which is run by expert nurses who can talk you through the queries about the treatment options you have at the moment. The number is 0808 800 6000 Mon-Fri 9am-5pm and Sat 9am-2pm.

Best wishes

Hi Dotmac

Sorry that you have had to join us here - but welcome! I can’t help with your query re tact2, as I am on straightforward chemo, rads and more chemo.

I am sure someone will be along real soon who has experience in this area or as Lucy says, you will get brilliant help from the literature/helpline here.

Good luck

Hi Dotmac,

I was on the Tact2 trial. If you have all the information you will see it has 4 arms. I was on arm 4 with accelerated Epirubicin and then Capecitabine.
But each person is randomly selected for which arm they are on.

I cant say I sailed through the treatment and I did have some side effects but I got through.
If you look back through the threads you will see a couple of threads where we posted at the time. Perhaps reading those will help.

Whatever you decide we will be here supporting you.
Best wishes and lots of hugs
MargaretC

The Tact2 thread is on page 8 at present.
