My mum is about to undergo a second round of breast cancer operations after a mastectomy earlier this year. After being in remission for 10 years, discovering that the cancer has returned has knocked so much stuffing out of her. She will be in hospital again over Christmas, for about 3 weeks and I would like some advice on sending her to a convalescent care home/facility for a few weeks after she leaves hospital to aid the physical healing. Has anyone done this after leaving hospital? Any advice or recommendations would be most appreciated. Thanks.
