I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Grade 3 breast Cancer 21st Dec 22. About to start the journey of Chemo surgery and then Radiotherapy.
I would like to know peoples thoughts about, if the Cool Cap works and is the effort worth the end result. I have been told I may loss my hair regardless.
At present sitting writting I’m not feeling that bothered about losing my hair but… I may feel differently if and when it happens.

I had four chemo sessions and cold capped through them all. It’s wasn’t all that difficult in the great scheme of things. I found icing my hands and feet way more troublesome. At any rate I did lose most of my hair so it didn’t help me there. What it did help with is quick regrowth and texture. But the end of my last chemo cycle my hair had started growing back. Four weeks after my last cycle I had a full head of thin hair. It wasn’t a cool haircut but I wasn’t bald either and normally people have to wait way longer than that for hair growth. Another thing is that it is coming back the same texture as before. No chemo curls. More grey I believe but that I actually like. So all in all I had awful hair for two months. So yes cold capping for me was well worth it.
