Hi hon,
I hope this helps u, I was 29 when I had my Mastectomy followed by treatment etc. It took about 4 wks to get the use of my arm back, but that was with physio twice a day. I didnt drive for about 6 wks, and was off work for 2mths. It took me a while to get used to having a prostesis but now u really cant tell, I think with me it was about the loss of confidence. I work with the public and no one would ever be able to tell that I have had a breast removed.
I am now awaiting my recon surgery and having my other breast removed.
Hope this helps
Gud Luck and Take care

Hiya,
I was also 29 when I had a double mastectomy (Feb 2010) and to be honest I recovered within 3/4 weeks with good use of my arms. It obviously varies from person to person, but as long as you do little arm excercises, this should help alot!
Good luck with the surgery.
