Creams for scars

Hi, I had my dressings off this morning and the nurse recommended a cream to help me moisturise the new scars (she had worked with burns victims so very experienced in this area). Of course, I can’t for the life of me remember the name of it now and it’s not in my notes. She is from the GP surgery so would be an effort for reception to get this info. Please can people just throw cream names at me that it may be? I’m pretty sure it started with the /s/ sound, and if not this sound was a heavy feature in the name! Thank you

Sudocrem perhaps?
I put castor oil on mine x

Moogoo is one that is sometimes recommended, and I find it good as a moisturiser.
I am working with a scar massage therapist (she is amazing and my double mastectomy no recon scars are looking fantastic) and she recommends rosehip oil - I use one from Neal’s Yeard Remedies.

I used Cetraben cream. Mine is prescribed by the GP but i think you may be able to buy it over the counter.

Hi
I used bio oil and it flattened nicely

I have been using Bio Oil & it seems to have worked very well.

Silicone tapes and gels are also fab for scars. I was recommended this by the breast team physio as I had a lot of issues with the scar sticking/being raised. Had to use/wear daily for about 6 months but it made a huge difference!

I’ve been using bio oil which was gifted to me by a friend after my surgery - the scar is now seven months old and has gone a nice pale pink colour .
I didn’t have a reconstruction but I’m happy with how it’s looking now , it looks less angry .
