hi all, just had appointment for my ct scan following an mx on8tyh Nov and before chemo starts, but i’m curious as to why it has to be done within 10 days of my period? is it just to eliminate the risk of pregnancy?

Sounds like the chest and abdo one. I’m sure they get a better image at a certain time of the cycle.
It will be to rule out pregnancy. Where I work we just check that the patient (female between 12-50) is happy to confirm they are not pregnant.
The 10-day rule means it is safe to use x-rays to the abdominal/pelvic area if within 10 days of your period.
