anything I fancy - which is nothing for the first 1 1/2 weeks - mars bar ice creams - mmmmmmmmmm
Agree with Julie41 - chocolate chocolate and more chocolate. Actually went to sainsburys last night and bought matchmakers, choccy cake and apple pie and fresh cream. Wow what a pig I know and have put on 3lbs in 2 weeks.

Developed a sweet tooth which I never had before, so chocolate, jelly and melon!

Not quite - had some cake and matchmakers, but as hubby watching celtic the poor apple pie got left out … have that tonight now. But I have a real fetish for chocolate right now and am piling on the pounds. Put on a stone and a bit now since starting chemo. But I can afford to at the mo … but better start watching it soon. LOL

After what we’ve all been through, we deserve to eat whatever we want don’t we ? I’ll worry about the pounds later !
Julie (eating a cadburys chocolate cake bar as she types…)

All,
I would have to say I continued on the indian meal fest! I am addicted to Chicken Madras with poppadoms and pickles to start washed down with a pint of kingfisher!!!
Oh and Worcester Sauce crisps!

I actually feel quite naughty as we were given all this advice about healthy food and not to this and that and i have pretty much done what i liked. Even braved a kebab! from shop we have used before. Just had whatever i want then mixed with with healthy salad and fruit days when i am feeling guilty! LOL

A word of warning ladies, watch the sweet tooth as the steroids can manifest the symptoms of type 2 diabetes.
I ended up being sent to the local diabetic clinic and had to test my blood 3 times a day with a monitor for about 3 months. I hated having to prick my fingers all the time. Thankfully it went back to normal about 3 weeks after I finished Taxotere, but in some patients it can be permanent.
Cheese and potato pies, but any other pie will do. Mashed potatoes.
I’ve gone off sweet stuff - used to eat chocolate by the shed load before BC. Also unfortunately gone off most fruit and veg. I’ve gained at least a stone, which is so depressing, but come the New Year I’ll get that sorted. It’ll be interesting to see what tamoxifen does to my weight!

Jellies - the only way to get fluids through when things taste so yeuchy!
My sister introduced me to fruit smoothies - 50-50 with lemonade, just about the only thing i’ve drunk the last two weeks!
But … I have gone right off coffee. My 6 large mugs a day - no more. Shame as that was calorie free - strong, black, no sugar.
Carbs and sugar - both of which I hardly ate at all before!!
sachets of complan really helped me when was having chemo and couldnt eat because of blisters in my mouth , also pot jellies were lovely and cooling!! sometimes i had to eat them through a straw but hey it worked for me. lynn xx
Chips and Roses Lime Juice!!
Liquorice, Horlicks and Rice Pudding. Hated them before!!
Hm, I’m with quisie, made half a dozen jellies a day and couldn’t keep my sticky mitts out of the fridge when on Taxotere. Later developed a real craving for olives (always hated them previously) but a year later am still keen on them but they must be in olive oil, no brine, Kalamata are best!
Oranges and grapefruits are good, can’t face a banana since chemo, fresh dates are good, raw spinach by the bagful (trying to get more than 5 a day), not keen on strawberries after overdosing during last year’s Wimbledon fortnight - certainly wasn’t constipated during chemo again!
Selective cuppa soups were almost palatable but there’s a huge selection out there and you end up with lots of boxes of three because the first taste is just too much to bear.
Wouldn’t recommend the Enlive Plus drinks but ended up on them to get some calories - they were foul and I just recently poured all the extra ones down the sink. Held on to them not wanting to tempt fate but my conscience is clear now - they were all out of date! Funnily enough, one of my chemo nurses recommended Pot Noodle saying “I know it’s rubbish but they’re loaded with calories” so off I went and bought two. Got them home and prepared one, the smell was awful and the taste even worse. I asked my more worldly wise husband “how do people eat these then?” and he said “usually after 6 or 7 pints of ale!!!” - so they went in the bin and the nurse was scolded next time I saw her. All those weeks on chemo and not even a sign of nausea then one Pot Noodle under my nose and I wanted to vomit for England!!! They should be removed from supermarket shelves as health hazards.

When I was on epi I craved fish with vinegar on - hate them both!
With CMF, I’m eating anything and everything but I would have to say, beef in satay sauce - YUM!
