Bringing awareness to others so they dont suffer like i did.
A year after lumpectomy, i had my 6 monthly review i had mammogram, and ultrasound, all was clear previously but this time they couldnt see a certain area clearly so requested an MRI. But a few days after my ultrasound , i started to get severe pains on the left operated site. During this point i had my MRI which showed a rapidly growing large cyst with rim enhancement which raised concerns During this period , i had an MRI as they wanted to double check a certain area, i was in severe pain for 5 days. I messaged dr 3 times as to what to do as i am strugglimg to sleep. MRI came back abnormal , i had appointment booked a week later for aspiration and biopsy, so at my appointment to discuss MRI results , i looked at my dr and said i am not happy and i am not waiting a week with this pain, why i am in severe pain, he said he doesnt know so when he checked the area he realised i was telling the truth as the area was quite tense, you cant touch it. I had swelling and heat as other symptoms. Dr called the breast surgeon to see if he could help so he fitted me in and aspirated 20 mls of fluid and a week later , i had my biopsy and further 20 mls of fluid was drained. They also punctured the cyst without warning and it was soooo painful. Please if you get unexpected pain , domt sit with it like me, contact your dr and if he doesnt respond like my case, go straight to emergency
