Daughter gone to Iraq

Hi everyone, just wanted to say I am feeling a bit down as I have just said goodbye to my daughter who is going to Iraq as a nurse in the Navy. She cried and it has upset me alot as she has been so brave for me with all this BC business. I still have 11 rads to go! But this week she has come up from Plymouth and come with me to the rads. I usually am quite strong but at the moment I am feeling very very sad.

Oh Madeline

Huge hugs, I know how hard it can be when someone you love is going to somewhere unstable. Nothing I can say that will make it easier, only that you will get through this.

Hugs

Madeline,

It’s awful isn’t it? My brother is a CPO (and meteorologist) at Plymouth and has been out there a few times. Will she be on a ship or in Iraq? I know my bro has been mainly involved in ferrying off the wounded and will be off again before too long. Best wishes to you at this difficult time.

Hi,
Know how your feeling my brother was in the Army and was sent out there right at the very beginning ready for the war to start…it was so worrying for us all.
Sending you, your daughter and family best wishes at this difficukt time.

Thank you everyone for your kind messages. Charlotte will be at Basra air station in the field hospital. I know it gets mortarred a lot! But she has shown me her body armour which she has to have with her all the time. I know there is nothing anyone can do, I just have to let time pass and hope for the best. But it helps me to write this and feel comforted by your thoughts. Life can be such a bitch!
