I had my op on the 30th January and still find things hard I went into town today as i were going to a friend but had to come home as i felt so ill. Is this normal I feel like i dont’t want to see anyone as i think i will break down and i don’t want to do that. lindalou
Hi lindalou1952.
Sorry you are feeling low, but you must remember that not only have you had a op. but also a shock to your system and you are only 6 weeks post op very early days. perhaps a visit to your GP may help. do not feel bad about breaking down in front of anyone you have had good reason to.
I had mx for DCIS and 4 nodes removed on 19th January and no further treatment needed but I still have very down days, a good cry while having a shower helps.
Take care
Maggie
hi Maggie55 we seem to have had the same thing but i don’t know what MX stands for. getting to talk about ourselves makes it a lot easier to bare. I hope you keep getting better as well. take care lindalou
Hi Lindalou,
Hope you are having a good day.
I had WLE for DCIS with the results coming back as high grade multifocal DCIS with no margins so the only option given to me was a mastectomy (mx) or do nothing and hope the cells do not turn to invasive cancer , no guarantee that would not happen went for the mastectomy. Thankfully the 4 nodes removed were clear and nothing more was found.
Go back in 6months for check.
Do you have to have further treament.
Best wishes.
Maggie55.
Hi lindalou, hope you don’t mind me posting on your thread, just wanted to say I hope your feeling a bit better today and let you know that your entitled to feel down, as another poster said you’ve had a huge trauma to your system physically, and are also having to deal with the emotional issues that go with any type of diagnosis, it just takes time to get over the shock, so be kind to yourself, take care, sending you a big hug,
