HI ive got dcis and due my doube masectomey in 10days time but they said that i wont be needing any radiotherapy or chemo just satamox has any had the same ???

I also had a diagnosis of dcis. Though I went down the wide local excision and radiotherapy route. If you don’t mind me asking what is ‘satamox’?
Are you having double mastectomy as both sides are affected or due to family history?

I had mx and so had no need for rads or chemo, or hormone pills. They needed to be sure of clear margins though.

I was diagnosed with DCIS in right breast in early November. Had no choice but have mastectomy but after sentinel node op was clear was also offered immediate reconstruction. Got great news yesterday that I didn’t require further treatment at this stage because margins were ok. Think if I pushed it might be offered tamoxifen but don’t think I’m going to go down this route.
