I’m 7 years down the line from DCIS I had a mastectomy but I still worry about BC returning. Im suffering at the moment with aching rib I have been yo see my consultant and he told me not to worry and try to forget about the tightness/ache. I thought he might have given me an ultrasound to put my mind at rest. Does anyone else suffer from aches and pain around there mastectomy scar. Am I unduly worring? My consultant did tell me after my surgery that I would now live a full and normal life wish I could focus on this.

I revisited my doctor and she sent me for an ultra sound which I had on Thursday. I had a really kind radiologist and he talked me through what he was doing and understood why I needed check out. He did a scan on both sides of my ribs and told me everything was fine and would be sending my results to my GP. I really did appreciate him taking time to ressure me of my worried. What I would like to say if you are worring about anything go get it checked it puts your mind at rest xx
