Oh dear, sending love I do hope you feel better soon xx
So sorry to hear how upset you are! Completely understand why you feel that way. It will come back but itās hard to think that far ahead when you are in the black hole. Sending you lots of love and positive vibes to get those taste buds back as soon as possible xx
Best of luck for tomorrow my treatment twin @whataloadof xx Iāve had my steroids today so donāt expect to get loads of sleep tonight. I will be up at 4 ha ha might get a cheeky workout in whilst the steroids are flowing before Mike Tyson visits our homes for 12 rounds again
Last but one round tomorrow - wohooo. Weāve got this ![]()
Hope you are all doing well lovely ladies. One day closer to the end xx
@shell86 Wide awake here despite almost passing out on the sofa earlier?! All the good tidings right back at you. Letās get this bloody shite over & done with!
3 weeks tomorrow & itāll be over! Xx
Good luck today penultimate ladies @shell86 and @whataloadof
@whataloadof @shell86 good luck today hope all goes well xx
@evicting_00_squatter @emilyxxx thank you both-wishing a good day for us all xx
Round 5 done .. one more to go. Goodness it feels so good saying that. However slight spanner in the works, maybe?!? I noticed that my haemoglobin levels have reduced over treatment. Today it has dropped to mid 90ās meaning I am anaemic - oh joy. They have said that if it drops below 90 then I will have to have a blood transfusion. Looks like Iām going to be eating lots of steak and spinach for the next 3 weeks - smothered in lots of flavour so I can actually mildly taste it
Hope today went well @whataloadof
Still awake at 12.30aM after waking up at 4am - bloody steroids ![]()
Well done @shell86, just one more to go. Youāve got this.
Iām still awake at 3.30am with no steroids. Whatās my excuse! ![]()
My neutrophils are in a similar situation where theyāve become accumulatively too close to the cut off line. I just got away with it for round five and I need to ensure it doesnāt delay round six ![]()
Steak is one of the few things that actually tastes normal at the moment
Morning ladies anyone whoās had a mastectomy and reconstruction do you still wear a bra 24/7 I had mine back in October and still wearing a bra all the time but Iāve started with pain in my āgoodā boob and it feels like itās wear the bra sits underneath obviously the support bra is tighter at that side as the boob is bigger.. Iāve rang BCN for a call back as worried itās something bad but also wondering if itās because Iāve got the bra on all the time (canāt feel any lumps)
Have you had a look at the radiotherapy department? Apparently some hospitals put them there to be sensitive to other patients as not everyone will ever get to ring the bell from chemotherapy if you get me. Worth a look x
Hi everyone.
Been a while since Iāve posted. Had my 11th PC this week so one more to go until I start the EC which I am constantly stressing about.
I think every week I ask the nurses different questions! PC has gone fine for me other than a few bits, night sweats are driving me mad and Iām now getting tingly toes. Is the best thing to just keep them moving and wiggling?
Also wanted to mention if anyone in the group is ages 18-45 I went along to the Breast cancer now āYounger people togetherā a few weeks back. Highly recommend to anyone that can go. It was like the thread but better because youāre face to face with people. Although I was nervous about going, once I got there it was such a nice feeling being in a room with people that 1000% get how youāre feeling and what youāre going through. I learnt a lot too.
Apparently there is one in the childrenās unit but I will just celebrate with my family when I get home. Itās just the end of Dox and carbo, Iāll still end up having something else on the ward for the rest of the year.
Apparently they did a poll when someone offered to fund the bell and the majority didnāt want it.
Iām sure Iāll end up sobbing when they put that final flush on or remove my cannula.
My toes are just starting to really bother me now on cycle 5 of 6 of TCHP. I thought the compression socks and gloves were working but maybe itās not tight enough on my toes.
Wondering whether to wrap my feet in frozen peas for the last cycle ![]()
Oh well, a cry on the ward and a proper celebration at home. x
I didnāt even know wearing them in treatment would help prevent it.
The nurse this week said when I swap after my last PC I probably wonāt get it on EC. Who knows though? Surely once itās kicked in it doesnāt just disappear?
The peas would be a good look. ![]()
Owwwwwwwwwwww. & thatās about all I have to say about the bone & muscle pain on day 4 of nab-paclitaxel!
Hugs. Weāre all āso bored of this gameā now.
Each day is a step closer ![]()
@evicting_00_squatter Thanks love. Grateful to have the hope of better days ahead x
