hi sorry you havent had much response. I cant really help as Im behind you in procedure. I had masectomy in 2008 too and then had chemo, rads, ovaries removal, wanted bi-literal tram op wiht risk sparing on left side, however they had decided to put expander in on right side first to stretch my skin to improve results, it hasnt been pleasant but im nearly done so weigh loss now and skin rest befor the big op. Im amazed you havent had much pain but it sound like what im expecting, how do you know what you can and cant do without risking failing. it sounds hard for you to get up and down.

hope your recovery progresses and you get some more help and assistance in terms of what you can and cant do xx

Hi lisaf have you got your op date yet hope all goes well and speedy recovery.I had post op appointment with nurses yesterday they answered all my questions first 6 weeks is the time you got to be carefully ,physio told me not to lift anything heavier than a cup of tea for next two weeks Im just being over cautious for 6 weeks but I have been lucky my mum was here first week from hospital and my hubbie now got week holiday each day i feel stronger its more the physical limitations that get you down but every local authority and doctor have different ideas so Im just doing what my physio and bc nurses advise xxx
