Hi i think they just want to give your body time to heal from the surgery, do you have to have chemo?

Hi
I was diagnosed in March 07, had surgery, chemo, rads. Was given Tamoxifen 2nd January, two weeks after rads had finished. There didn’t seem to be any urgency - the oncologist said my body needed to recover a bit from the other treatments first.
I started Tamoxifen a month after I had finished chemo and a week before I started radiotherpay. However I was told by my oncologist to go to my gp to get my Tamoxifen prescribed. Hospital wrote to my Gp after I had finished chemo and then I popped in and he wrote me the prescription. No delay or anything like that
