Just wondered if anyone on Denosumab has experienced itching/stinging? The back of my neck and shoulders have been sooo itchy but don’t really have a rash or anything. I’ve been given various steroid creams to try but they haven’t worked. Not sure if it’s related to the Denosumab as it started a few days after my first infusion or if it’s just coincidence!

Have you tried an antihistamine tablet?
They normally give you one more try on the denosumab before they switch you. I’m on zoladronic acid. When are you due your next dose?
Thanks for your reply! I was taking antihistamines regularly anyway but it didn’t seem to make a difference. I’ve had 3 Denosumabs now next due in 4 weeks. My team haven’t said that they think it’s related, but I haven’t directly asked them. I just wondered if it was common, I’ve read it can cause rashes but I don’t have anything visible just the itching and it’s just in that area so weird.
Sorry to not be more help. I meet a lot of ladies in groups and I would say it is not common. I hope your nurses can sort it out.x
Well how weird is that!? Been telling my oncologist about itching on my arms and shoulders for ages and yes im on denosumab, think ive had 3/4 shots. Tried cutting down or out on other tablets i take, as in my head it was one of them! But still itching. Drives me crazy. Like you no rash or nothing can be seen. Tried taking antihistamine but makes me sleepy and i still work. Thank you for your post x
