I have extreme health anxieties - I am well aware of that but currently I have been really ill for almost 3 weeks and I’m getting very concerned. This feels different to anxiety.
I have had bc twice - once 2014 and a new primary in 2023.
For the past 3 weeks I’ve been so nauseous. I’ve lost 12 kg since January - some of this was intentional as my eating habits weren’t great and I’d put weight on over a few years. I therefore went on a pescatarian/Mediterranean diet to shift some flab! And to be healthier.
But for 2 and a half weeks I’ve had no appetite, felt very nauseous and generally really yuck. I’ve had bloods done - all fine, a head ct, all fine, an abdominal ultrasound all fine. Only thing in one of my bloods was raised ALP (a tumour marker) at 82. No one seems concerned. I’ve had this done once before in 2023 and it was 97 then.
My gp has referred me for an endoscopy (I had one of these in November but for different symptoms)
I saw my surgeon privately ( he ordered the ultrasound) and he seems unconcerned he just said it maybe a virus
This is not usual anxiety/ gerd sort of nausea. It’s debilitating. I can’t talk when it hits hard as I need to concentrate on my breathing. Any food makes it worse. Especially fatty food. I also am getting weird muscle vibrations in my arms at night. Im struggling to go out, walk anywhere, function as I feel so awful.
I had the us on Thursday evening and yesterday morning I felt so much better so I thought it was anxiety. Then it hit really hard again at about 1pm for no reason. I did eat but this made it much worse and I had v little sleep last night due to feeling sick and weird
6 weeks ago I had a abdominal ct without contrast as I’d been in a RTA so they were checking my spine - but they also reported on my abdomen and all was fine
I’m pretty scared and just want my life back.
