Hi Debs
I’ve been following poo-gate with bated breath, but am now holding my nose as the KP nuts and dancing seem to have worked. I really hope you feel better over the weekend and can enjoy some sunshine. Let’s hope all the concoctions you’ve been taking don’t make you stay in the loo all the time

Congratulations on the long overdue arrival. May it be the first of many.

Can things really get anymore bizarre than this that we are all sending you our heartiest congratulations just because you’ve had a pooh? Somehow I suspect they will.

Have a good weekend.

Linda

hi folks - sorry to interupt alovely sunny day but am a bit concerned - I havent felt well for weeks with tiredness and last two weeks have had cold and stomach bug - which has really laid me low ( not currently on chemo but herceptain and zometa) so really cant understand why i am not getting over these things - is this common for beingon herceptain, does anyone know - my liver mets are growing but they have kept me on herceptain for a few more times before next chemo as they have to withdraw herceptain when i start( new NICE guidelines) cant help but think the worst and they are growing rampant… i also have bloatedness and pain stomach ribs…and am very grumpy - when not asleep or on the loo ( oppositie problem to debs and jane - anyone any clues or words of wisdom? hope you are all having a much better day…am now awake enough to watch wall to wall come dine with me! thats as good as it gets today!Jayne

Hi Jayne,
sorry you are feeling so bad and hope the hospital can sort you out.
Just remember NICE GUIDLINES ARE JUST THAT A GUIDE AND NOT A RULE SO WHEN DEALING WITH YOUR ONC ASK FOR HIS HONEST OPINION. Sorry my key stuck down!
Know what you mean about being stuck in bed, my legs are so weak as I am spending far too much time in bed. Beautiful day here and I am still in bed. Mind you I have to be up early tomorrow as have film crew here from Breakfast BBC IF THEY ARE STILL GOING TO DO THE PROGRAMME. Stpid key board stuck again must have some k.p. stuck in it!
Hope everyone is well and enjoying the weather don’t forget Monday Breakfast 6.30 and 8.30 hope I don’t make a fool of myself.
Love Debsxxx

Jayne…so sorry if you have mentioned this elsewhere but could you now try Lapatinib if you are being taken off herceptin? x
Debs…I’m sure you will be marvellous on TV…x

Hi Debs and Belinda
thanks! will ask onc about guidelines and lapatinib…meanwhilegood luck with filming Debs - and so admireyou for taking it on - you will be speaking for our missed and absent friends - they would be so proud of you! will be up and waiting - its bbc one , isn’t it…jaynex

Hi Jayne,

I did mean to get back to you. My onc said the same as Debs, the Nice guidelines are just that guidelines!!

Each case should be treated individually.

She also said that a lot of oncologists disagree with the decision to stop if there is progression, and about 28% of them just continue.

Please dont quote which area I am from, as dont want to get anyone in bother!!

Why dont you start a new thread and see just how many people have continued with Herceptin after progression? Show it to him if necessary!!
