Dew Drop Inn Too

Right - gorra go and collect daughter from work - and I may just have a tonic water in the pub whilst waiting for her - no gin - don’t drink just after chemo!

Have a lovely evening y’all - no squabbling, or I’ll dink you in the drink at the Lakes!!!

I think my computer is 5 hours behind

See you later Sue, take care xx

I think I am going to have an early night, boring I know!!

Nightie night all

Night night AJ, guess I wll lock up

xx

hello - any other pain ridden insomniacs in here?

OK - nobody here to keep me company…sweeps the floor, cleans the candle wax off the tables, plumps up the cushions on the sofas (comfy pub this), empties the grate of the fire and relays (virtual pub - doesn’t matter how hot it really is - gorra have a fire!). There, looking good now. Goes into kitchen and makes up a batch of blue berry muffin mix and waffle mix. Leaves kitchen looking spotless and departs the building - leaving key under the plant pot to the right of the front door.

Good morning to the lovely lady (or G) who comes in next and gets the muffins & waffles going. Hope you didn’t forget to bring the Sunday papers with you!

sunday papers have been delivered dont know how to cook waffles and muffins in the oven, coffee maker is on, tea is in the pot!!! This pub is soo much better than the ones i went to last night!!! I wore very high heels which killed my feet, having only had a few drinks was not allowed in night club because i couldnt walk properly tried to explain first night out in ages cos ive been ill, and bouncers just said yeh right your pis!ed! im positive it was an age thing, going to write a strong e mail as its a well known chain!!!
Anna

which club was it anna, i’ll go and beat the bouncers up oops door man - they are ageist - lol imagine the trouble i have getting in!!

spent all day hostessing for mum,sis and niece… as they were leaving jen’s boy 1 came home - absolutely pooped form his wee trip away, hoovered up loads of left overs, gratifyingly had 2 pieces of cake… had a nap and thne hit the tiles again!

me i just watched NCIS in a faint stupour…

thinking of the lakes (love the murder in the lakes idea - we could have a murder mystery night???)… i think these double beds may deffo be a prob.

anyway - anyone who makes food is welcome in the DDI!!! so welcome!!

raining here - good excuse not to garden…hmm that means i ha

jen xxve to carry on sorting out stuff for car boot sale…sigh…

Sue - sorry you suffered the pain ridden insomnia last night. Hope it improves for you soon.

Anna - killer heels are never a good idea - bummer about being turned away from the night club cos you looked too drunk …better luck next time.

After torrential rain (like enuff to make the road look like a river) last night we now have beautiful blue skies. Might venture out later and have a wander about town.

i swear it was an age thing just wrote my stropy e mail to walkabouts!!! there will not be a next time i can assure you, there are much better pubs in town anyway!!! you are brave Jen thinking about a car boot sale in this weather yuk

lol not today and deffo not when it is raining… sent every one message of f/book and email to you anna re the lakes def budget accom!!

have forwarded email - but don’t have everybody…will have to work on it a bit - particularly the Edinburgh crew. Lilac - can you help? Please forward to Ails etc if you have their email addresses!

Ambleside sounds good to me, as long as I don’t have to do housework at all - am sick of it already! We’ll need to organise activities closes to the time - some like idea of horse riding at Rookin. Some think we should bowl Jen down a hill etc (also available at Rookin). Those who want, could have a good half day there doing fun stuff!

Doing well Jen - keep it up - and I won’t let them take you human bowling!!!

thank u westie… i am so relieved!!! i do not want to be human bowling ball

i can say - having stayed behind YHA that it bloody interrupted my view of lake so… it’s about 20 m to the shore from the YHA and what we saw of it (naked young woman aside -what gareth and my sons missed - but they got up earlier after that day…)… looked ok

hmmm apart from me at mo doing sleepy agian…how much time do we spend in bedrooms anyway?

i’d say - do what people agree in the day and meet up at night - ambleside village is a mile away from yha and is pretty to walk around, lots of places to eat

and yes… we can go to keswick!!!

looks good to me but may pass on horse riding, prefer more sedate stuff haha - like propping up the bar

i seem to be going i’d say rather a lot…

so i won’t say it for a few days

if we get another 2 people saying ok to the yha i will ring them tomoz and see if they are willing to take us on!! it will be a sad tale of people with cancer… yah right (sooooo…not!!!)

mary - bars in abundance…

so…tapas on the bar ladies… help yourselves

Yum I do like an olive!
But really girls, you are working too hard and I don’t think I can even keep up with all your chatting.
Sue-sorry you hurt so much love…how may more do you have to go and when will it start getting better afterwards?
Next time you go clubbing Anna, call me and I’ll stand at the door in a black coat, chewing gum. They’ll think I’m the real deal and the regular bouncers will run a mile.
Ok putting some fried chorizo, toms, halloumi and patatas bravas on the bar for you all…Love to all
catch up soon
I do think just plain ol Queen is a nicer nickname than curtain queen, long may I reign
