I had my first chemo session yesterday and I’ve got these dexamethasone tablets to take, 4x 2mg tablets twice a day, three hours after taken it I got red cheeks and the inside of my throat is red, obviously about warm in effected areas, I’m assuming it’s the steroids and not the actual chemo ? Do I carry on taken the tablets ? Do I taken piriteze ?? The help line number for the hospital were abit useless if you ask me
I think anyone who answers will advise you to speak to your chemo nurse or team or your breast care nurse.
You should have been given a tel number to ring from the chemo ward?
Its not legal to advise you how to take medication prescribed to you. Please look at the paperwork for a tel number or ring your local hospital and explain your question and they will put you in touch with the people who are treating you xxx
