Hi, I’m looking forward to Christmas this year. I was diagnosed 2 days before Christmas 2 years ago. It was a really tough time and if any one has just had a diagnosis my heart goes out to you. However please know that things will get better. You will cope. The ladies on this site will give you so much support if you need it. I finally finished my treatment in the summer after 18 months. Now it’s just tamoxifen for another 4 years. Life will never be the same again, but some good things have come out of it. Life and family feel more precious. Nothing will be taken for granted again.

Helbel, thank you so much for giving us newbies and not so newbies some good news and hope for the future. I’ve written off 2011, so am looking forward to 2012.
Just remembered its 2 years today since original primary diagnosis. Although still having a fight with secondaries its good not to be thinking about it every waking minute - Life is fairly “normal” which I think is what most of us yearn for after being diagnosed, so can’t complain - best wishes to everyone fighting the fight x Debbie x
