Sorry to hear you’ve been diagnosed, the early days of diagnosis are always such a rollercoaster.
Do ask your doctors anything you need to, there are no stupid questions & you need to be clear about any choices you make.
Many of us here use complementary treatments to support conventional treatment, however, conventional treatment is the best we’ve got in getting the best possible outcomes. Be aware that there is a lot of ‘cancer woo’ out there, so do be sceptical & ask, ask, ask.
Most of us have an er+ bc diagnosis. Are you having chemo? Surgery & presumably you will be offered hormone treatment.
Hi Onpoint,
It’s good to hear how positively you feel about this & that you’re being so proactive in seeking info & advice & running everything past your team.
As you say, the timing of the mastectomy is not ideal, but the important thing is that you’re now on the treatment path to recovery.
If you want to, do go along to the ‘going through treatment’ board where you can get info & advice from others where you are in treatment.
Wishing you the very best with it all
